Tips For Keeping Your Porcelain Patio Warm

Posted on 29th June 2022

Summer is the best time to relax or entertain guests in your garden. However, this doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy the atmosphere of your garden when the weather cools down. If you have a porcelain patio, there are many ways you can make it feel warmer and inviting.

If you have an attractive garden area, surely you’d want to be out there enjoying it rather than being cooped up inside. There are a host of advantages to being outside but you don’t need to sacrifice feeling warm to enjoy sitting outdoors socialising or relaxing.

Here are our tips to help warm up your porcelain paving patio and extend the time you can spend outdoors.

Patio lamps and heaters

Purchasing a patio lamp or heater is an ideal way to warm up your garden and create a cosy atmosphere. Designed to be tall and relatively compact, lamps and heaters shouldn’t over complicate your garden or take over the aesthetic you have designed.

The average patio heater can warm up an area of up to 15-25 square feet, so you needn’t worry about feeling cold whatsoever in your garden.

Heated flooring

Despite often being associated with indoor flooring, heating for outdoor flooring is gaining more popularity. These types of systems can be installed underneath porcelain paving to warm the surface and provide a comforting feeling underfoot.

Fire pits

Fire pits are one of the most popular ways to have a fire feature in your garden due to the low cost, portability, and simplicity. Traditionally fire pits are designed to be relatively low to the ground, however can be built in many shapes and sizes using a range of materials.

Fireplaces

If you have the time and budget available, a custom fireplace is a fantastic option for keeping your porcelain patio warm. Create a living room outside by adding a lower table and comfortable seating with cushions, throws, and even an outdoor rug.

Alternatively, portable fireplaces are a great option if you don’t want to commit to having one built. These are suitable if you have a smaller garden or want to move things around often.
